From Los Angeles to High Fashion
My passion for makeup started long before I ever built a business around it. Growing up in Los Angeles, I was drawn to the hands-on creativity of beauty at a young age. After graduating with honors from Granada Hills Charter High School, I set out to pair my creative drive with solid business strategy, eventually earning my degree in Business Marketing through California State University, Northridge and Long Beach State.
While working as a makeup artist with MAC Cosmetics and joining the original launch team for Gucci Cosmetics, I noticed a constant frustration: women were spending hundreds of dollars on luxury foundations and powders, but applying them with cheap, scratchy brushes that completely ruined the finish.
I realized that the efficacy of a perfect application lies in the tool itself. That revelation inspired me to launch the Elaina Badro® Elite Brush Line—a high-performance tool collection engineered with heavy-duty copper ferrules for unmatched durability and zero shedding.

In fact, our signature Smudger Brush was highlighted directly on Kim Kardashian’s app as a top makeup artist favorite.

Formulating Clean Beauty & Empowering Artists
An expert tool deserves an equally thoughtful formula. When expanding our brand beyond brushes into color cosmetics, I chose to formulate our line in Italy with a strict 100% talc-free requirement. Protecting consumer well-being with skin-safe, asbestos-free ingredients is a responsibility I take seriously as a founder.
Giving back to our community remains central to my work. I teach hands-on makeup seminars throughout Southern California to empower aspiring artists, stay involved with initiatives like the Women’s Entrepreneurial Center, and raise awareness through my non-profit initiative, Embrace Your Face.
